Well, happy new year to you all. I've been trying to organize my thoughts and stash. Looking at the coming months there is alot I hope to accomplish costume wise.
Firstly... we have Fanime 2010 coming up the end of May, and although that seems like a far way off I know I will be pushing to get things done. I will be making a Lia (from Chevalier D'Eon) cosplay for my daughter. It will be a jacket, waist coat, frilly blouse and hopefully white tights. Still trying to figure out the weapon. As far as my costumes... I want to build a Queen of Hearts gown. I plan on putting an 18th century spin on it and hopefully it will be ready for Costume College in July. Those are my 2 major thoughts but I know I will be adding to those as inspiration comes. In the middle of all this we are heading to Italy at spring break. If anybody has any ideas on must see's in Venice, Florence, and Rome- I would love to hear them. Especially if you have a good costume resource for me. I know there is a killer shoe maker in Venice that does custom reproductions of 18th century shoes, so maybe I will go drool all over his shop.
