I just got home yesterday from the 2009 Costume College in Van Nuys. It was 3 days of pure fun. Some of the classes I took were lectures on 18th century shoes(and how to recover contemporary shoes to adapt them), Turkish influence on 18th century fashion, binding corset tabs, and textiles of the 18th century. I had the great luck to be chosen to model for one of the classes that showed Victorian dress from the underwear out. And although I only brought one costume for the Gala, many participants wore them all weekend! I wore my 18 century Wig and Gown Saturday night. It was so fun to wear and felt great! I got lots of great photos of some truly inspiring ladies and can't wait for next year!
